Although the loons did not choose to nest on our
platform this year, there is good news about nesting on the lake chain.
A pair of loons is using the nesting platform on Presque Isle Lake and
there is a loon nest on the shoreline of Averill Lake as well. Ed
Brodsky spotted the nest and sent in this photo. Please remember
to keep at least 200 feet away from nesting loons.
